I'm not doing the IB, why does this even matter?
We believe that these 'core values' should be manifested throughout the school, even if you are amongst the younger years. In this day and age, learning the school's curriculum is not sufficient to grow as a learner. We believe that students should begin to learn the importance of becoming independent and responsible learners from an early age, and to encourage them to nurture a lifelong learning process.
How can I adopt these traits?
These traits should not just be limited to the classroom. You can even incorporate them into your daily life! Think about how you interact with others. Are you caring? Are you principled? Are you open-minded? These values are not only essential to the rigorous IB-student life, but match the general contemporary belief of the image of 'success'.
